Gaslamp Art Showcase

This Sunday, from noon to 5 p.m., the second annual Gaslamp Art Showcase will be held on the streets of the entertainment district in downtown San Diego. The Art Showcase invites people to rediscover the beautiful and architecturally-rich Historic District by day as they tour each element of this event.

The Gaslamp Art Showcase will host multiple art exhibits and installations in unique settings throughout the district. The "Reflection Art Show" will feature an outdoor exhibit of booths on Island Avenue, while the "Spyglass Art Exhibit" will be within Gaslamp Quarter venues including Fine Art Galleries, rooftop lounges and more. Many of San Diego's leading artists will gather to display their talent for this juried event and winners will be selected for "Artist of the Day" and "Emerging Artist of the Day" awards.
Participating locations include: Michael J. Wolf Gallery, Shorelines Gallery, Siamak Art Gallery, The Art of Tim Cantor, CJ Gallery, The Brokers Building, Exclusive Collections Gallery, Abbott Realty Group, Dakota Grill and Spirits, Acqua al 2, J6 Bar/Hotel Solamar, Hard Rock Café, the San Diego Wine and Culinary Center, Heavenly Cupcake, Hostelling International, Ivy Hotel, Kurios Boutique, Mister Tiki Mai Tai Lounge, Rockin Baja Coastal Cantina, S.D. Trading Co., Starbucks, To The Point, Reviva Med, the William Heath Davis House and Gaslamp Gifts, and more.


The Gaslamp Art Showcase is a free community event produced by the Gaslamp Quarter Association (GQA) and its partner businesses. The event is sponsored by the city of San Diego Commission for Arts and Culture and Young's Market Company. The GQA is anticipating approximately 5,000 attendees for this event. This and other activities of the GQA are partially funded by the city of San Diego's Small Business Enhancement Program.
